2nd INTERNATIONAL CHANGING PERSPECTIVES SHORT FILM FESTIVAL
ABOUT FESTIVAL
Initiated by Katadrom Arts and Culture and Social Politics Association based in Istanbul- ‘The 2nd International Changing Perspectives Short Film Festival’ will be held between the dates of 23thand 25th 2014 of May in Istanbul, Berlin and Sofia and different universities around the world.
The Festival will screen the short features, short documentaries, short animations etc. of students and exchange students and teams who express different perspectives about being a foreigner in another culture.
The topic – “STRANGER – Changing Perspectives”
All the students in different countries are having a different experience during their study abroad. Some of them find themselves in a complete different climate and some of them find themselves in a complete different language. Some students struggle with communication and some struggle with participation. In some places they enjoy a complete different culture and in some they enjoy the multiculturalism. Each place offers you different life, a different world and a different you. Once you step in the place you are no longer a local, but a stranger.
FILM SUBMISSIONS
Short films which does not exceed 20 minutes – (documentaries less than 30 minutes) short-films, music videos, experimental films etc. – all with English subtitle of local and international students will be screened during the festival.
- Films should be no longer than 20 minutes
- Documentaries should be no longer than 30 minutes
- Film teams should include at least one exchange student (films of graduate exchange students also acceptable)
- Films and videos dealing with themes of being stranger, different cultures, multiculturalism, being exchange students etc. will be prioritized.
