Screening of the film and discussion with actor Murat Aydin

 This month’s Turkish movie is  “Deli Deli Olma – Piano Girl”. It will be screened at our KATADROM Turkish Movie Nights this Sunday the 16th of December at 8pm at the Maya Sahnesi. The film came out in 2009 and has ever since been screened all over Turkey with huge success.

Actor Murat Aydın will join the screening and the discussion with you all afterwards.

Everyone interested in (Turkish) cinema is very welcome to join the screening. The film will be shown in Turkish with English subtitles. The event is free of charge.

Summary of the film:

Deli Deli Olma is a comedy-drama film, directed by Murat Saraçoğlu that deals with the traces that history leaves on the life stories of people and what happens when the secrets of the past are being revealed. The film is set in Eastern Anatolia at times of the Ottoman Empire where two elderly people, a Russian immigrant and a grumpy old woman are forced to approach each other and where life returns to the old, snowy village.
